Safety Manager: your week
As a safety manager you turn what the dashcams see into better driving. The dashcam flags risky moments as safety events: AI events such as a phone call, eyes closed or close following, and harsh driving such as harsh braking. You decide which ones matter, coach drivers on them and watch the scores move. The Safety Inbox opens right after you accept your invitation; later, opening app.roudiy.com opens the Dashboard (signing in on the sign-in page directly opens Fleet View), so go to Safety → Inbox.
Every day: triage the Inbox
Section titled “Every day: triage the Inbox”New events arrive in Safety → Inbox with the status Needs review. Each one has a severity (Critical, High, Medium or Low), the driver, the truck and a video clip. Work from the top: critical and high first.
Good to know while you triage:
- Repeats of the same event close together merge into one, shown as ×3.
- Speeding events arrive after the trip ends, not during it.
- Collision and SOS events are critical. Roudiy requests the road video around them automatically and locks it, so it is not deleted by retention.
When many events are clearly false or minor, select them and act in one go; events someone else already reviewed, or that are in a coaching session, are skipped.

Reviewing an event
Section titled “Reviewing an event”Open an event to see the video, the map, the speed and the details. The road (CH1) and driver-facing (CH2) clips play in sync. If the clip is still coming from the truck, the page shows Fetching video from device (up to 10 min) and checks again every 30 seconds.
On the event you can also:
- add tags and comments for your colleagues;
- change the driver if the wrong person was assigned (a reason is required; driver scores update within 10 minutes);
- mark it confidential, so only people with access to confidential events can see it.

The decision: coachable, dismiss or recognize
Section titled “The decision: coachable, dismiss or recognize”Every reviewed event gets one of three decisions:
| Decision | When | Effect on the score |
|---|---|---|
| Coachable | Real risk the driver should talk about. | Counts. Goes to coaching. |
| Dismiss | False alarm or not worth coaching. Pick a reason: Incorrect, Minor or Other (Other needs a note). | Does not count. |
| Recognize | The driver did something worth praising. | Does not count. |
Changed your mind? Undo returns the event to Needs review. Events without a driver do not count in driver scores either, so ask the dispatcher to fix assignments.
During the week: coaching sessions
Section titled “During the week: coaching sessions”Safety → Coaching → Needs coaching lists drivers with coachable events that are not yet in a session, with the days they have been waiting. Click Start session for a driver: all their coachable events go in (up to 50), you are the coach, and the session is due in 14 days (you can choose 1 to 60).
Sit down with the driver and go through each event: mark it Coached, or Dismiss it if it turns out not to matter. When nothing is pending, click Complete. If a session passes its due date, you get one reminder in the dashboard and by email. Roudiy sends nothing to the driver; the conversation is yours.

Monday: scores
Section titled “Monday: scores”Every Monday, in the company time zone, Roudiy calculates a score from 50 to 100 for each driver over the last 4 weeks, based on events per 1,000 miles: Excellent 90–100, Good 80–89, Fair under 80. Drivers with under 100 miles show N/A. Switch between Drivers, Vehicles and Groups.
Your review decisions count from the next Monday calculation, so finish the week’s triage before Monday.
Reports
Section titled “Reports”Safety → Reports sums up events by driver or group, and how quickly coaching happens, for a period you pick. Download them as CSV for your management meeting.
Safety settings and alert rules
Section titled “Safety settings and alert rules”Two things shape your Inbox but are changed by the Company Admin in the system roles:
- Safety settings decide which ADAS and DMS events the cameras detect for the whole fleet. Too many event types mean noise; too few mean missed risk. Tell your admin what to turn on or off; different settings for some trucks are possible with AI profiles.
- Alert rules decide who is told. You already receive the default rule Critical and high severity safety events in the dashboard and by email, for your groups. If you also want, for example, every phone-call event, ask your admin to add a rule with Safety Manager as a recipient.
