Welcome to Roudiy
Roudiy puts an AI dashcam and an engine gateway in each of your trucks and brings everything they record into one web app, the Fleet Dashboard. This page explains what is in the box, what your team can do with it and where each person should start.
What Roudiy is
Section titled “What Roudiy is”In the truck: a kit. Every truck gets a kit of two devices:
- a JC371 AI dashcam with GPS and a mobile connection. It watches the road and the driver, speaks voice prompts to the driver and records video to its SD card. It has up to three cameras: CH1 road, CH2 driver-facing, CH3 auxiliary.
- a KD032 gateway plugged into the truck’s engine (ECM) port. It reads engine data such as the odometer, RPM, fuel level and fault codes.
Kits are installed by Roudiy. The installer pairs the kit with the truck, so you do not wire anything yourself.
In the office: the Fleet Dashboard. Your team works in the browser at app.roudiy.com, on a computer or a phone. There is nothing to install.
One account. Roudiy uses the same account as your ELD platform: one email and one password for both. If you already sign in to the ELD platform, you use that password here too.
More on how the pieces fit together: How Roudiy works.
What your team can do with it
Section titled “What your team can do with it”- See the fleet live. Every truck on the map with its status: Moving, Idle, Ignition off or Offline. The map and list refresh every 30 seconds. Replay where a truck has been and list its trips.
- Review safety events and coach drivers. The dashcam flags risky moments, such as a phone call, close following or harsh braking, as safety events with a video clip. A safety manager reviews them, coaches drivers on the ones that matter and follows weekly safety scores.
- Pull video. Watch a camera live, take a snapshot or request up to 9 minutes of recorded video from the truck’s SD card.
- Get alerts. Alert rules tell the right people, in the dashboard and by email, about serious safety events, kits that have been offline for 24 hours and engine fault codes.
- Prepare IFTA. Roudiy splits miles by state from trips and engine data. Add your fuel purchases and it builds the quarterly IFTA return, ready to export.
Who does what
Section titled “Who does what”Everyone gets a role that decides which pages they see and what they can change. Roudiy has four ready-made roles:
| Role | In plain words | First page after accepting the invitation |
|---|---|---|
| Company Admin | Sets up the company: users, groups, vehicles, drivers, kits, privacy and alert rules. Sees the whole company. | Company profile |
| Dispatcher | Runs the day: where trucks are, who drives them, trips, live cameras and SD card video. | Fleet View |
| Safety Manager | Reviews safety events, coaches drivers and follows scores. | Safety Inbox |
| Compliance Manager | Keeps fuel purchases in order and files the quarterly IFTA return. | IFTA |
After that, app.roudiy.com opens the first page in your sidebar: the Dashboard for Company Admins, Dispatchers and Safety Managers, Fleet View for Compliance Managers. Use the sidebar to go to your section.
A user’s access is a role plus a group, such as a terminal (Dallas North, Dallas South), or the entire company. A dispatcher in Dallas North sees only Dallas North trucks. If your company needs something in between, the admin can create a custom role. The full list is in Roles and permissions.
